Biodesix is a leading diagnostic company that specializes in lung disease. We develop innovative diagnostic tests that combine multi-omics with artificial intelligence to address important clinical questions. Our goal is to provide accurate and timely results to support treatment decisions for patients.
Our team of experts has developed six non-invasive tests for patients with lung diseases. These tests include the GeneStrat and VeriStrat tests, which are integrated into our IQ Lung strategy for lung cancer patients. This enables healthcare professionals to make informed decisions about treatment within 72 hours.
We also offer the Nodify Lung nodule risk assessment testing strategy, which consists of the Nodify XL2 and Nodify CDT tests. These tests evaluate the risk of malignancy in incidental pulmonary nodules, allowing physicians to better triage patients to the most appropriate course of action.
In response to the global pandemic, we launched the SARS-CoV-2 ddPCRTM test and the Platelia SARS-CoV-2 Total Ab test. These tests help identify individuals who may be at risk of COVID-19. We collaborate with leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to solve complex diagnostic challenges in lung disease.
About the JobWe are seeking contract mobile phlebotomists to collect samples from patients in their homes or workplaces via nasal swab or venipuncture. This role involves drawing blood samples for tests that leverage genomics and proteomics to uncover individualized insights about tumor biology. Testing will be conducted on individuals without symptoms or those who have already recovered from COVID-19.
As a contract phlebotomist, you will receive virtual training on all sample types and kits. You must have reliable transportation to collect samples from patients' homes or workplaces. You will also need to provide your own gloves, sharps container, and access to appropriate disposal services.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location. You will be required to maintain accurate records of patient interactions and specimen collection. Prompt invoicing for payment is essential for this role.
