About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Parts Town Canada. As a key member of our distribution center operations, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, including conveyor belts, picking carousels, and grid cleaning/inspections.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on common distribution center material handling systems, including powered conveyors, sorters, trash compactors, and balers.
  • Meet with third-party contractors to address repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, backup generators, and fire suppression systems.
  • Respond to problems with fire/sprinkler systems, standby generators, and mechanical or system outages at the facility or in the distribution center.
  • Collaborate with team members to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory levels and consumable supplies to support office and distribution center operations.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and seek further training and certifications as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance in a distribution center environment (ideal).
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
