Position Summary:


Deliver rehabilitation therapy services as directed under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in alignment with Nova Medical Centers' treatment philosophy.


Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Foster a professional environment while providing rehabilitation therapy services.


- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations, including infection-control protocols.

- Enhance knowledge of evidence-based practices and demonstrate clinical expertise in rehabilitation therapy services.

- Execute assigned tasks from the supervising physical therapist that align with safe, legal, and ethical rehabilitation practices.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.


- Collaborate with the Supervising Physical Therapist to deliver rehabilitation therapy services as outlined in the care plan; respond to acute physiological changes; and educate other healthcare providers, patients, and families on selected treatment procedures and functional activities.


- Regularly meet with the Physical Therapy team and other staff to discuss patient care quality, procedures, documentation, policy reviews, training sessions, educational seminars, and other relevant matters.


- Promote and engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing teamwork within the center.

- Assist in fostering clear communication between the Physical Therapy department and other center staff members.

- Document treatments and maintain records in accordance with policy and procedure, demonstrating sound judgment.


- Collaborate with the Physical Therapy team to ensure that center operations align with medical policies and professional standards upheld by Nova Medical Centers.


Qualifications:
Education/Credentials:
- Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain certification.
