Job Title: Malware Analyst

Job Summary:

Athena Technology Group, Inc. (ATG) is seeking a highly skilled Malware Analyst to join our team. As a Malware Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting dead box forensic analysis using tools like Encase, FTK, and Autopsy. You will also conduct malware analysis on media and perform reverse malware analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct dead box forensic analysis using Encase, FTK, and Autopsy
  • Conduct malware analysis on media
  • Perform reverse malware analysis
  • Open and close cases in accordance with DC3 guidelines

Requirements:

  • Experience with tools like Encase, FTK, and Autopsy
  • Ability to develop reports on forensic or malware analysis
  • Background in quantitative experience and/or education (e.g., mathematics, statistics, etc.)
  • HS 16+ Years, BS/BA 10+ Years, or MA/MS 8+ Years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forensic-related certifications (e.g., GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI))
  • Experience performing cyber threat hunting support (e.g., developing YARA rules, analyzing Indications of compromise)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience working in forensics and malware analysis

Clearance Requirements:

US Citizenship and an active DOD TOP SECRET/SCI w/CI Poly Clearance are required for the position.
