Student Dispatcher

As a Student Dispatcher at Auburn University, you will play a critical role in facilitating the dispatch of aircraft and flight training devices. This position requires strong communication skills, as you will be responsible for speaking over radio to pilots. You will work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability and assist with inventory tracking of training materials and supplies. Your ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with a focus on customer service will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch training flights, simulators, and ground lessons in accordance with the published daily schedule
• Assign resources necessary to support flight training
• Ensure accurate aircraft status is displayed in the computer-based management system
• Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability
• Assist with inventory tracking of training materials and supplies
• Schedule aircraft re-fueling with airport

Requirements:

• Enrolled student at Auburn University
• Clear communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Customer service focus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with iOS and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Work Hours: 20 hours per week (some Saturdays)
