The specialist will be tasked with diagnosing and rectifying vehicle issues for the dealership, ensuring top-notch customer service, and collaborating effectively with both colleagues and clients.
This role encompasses servicing vehicles that arrive at the workshop, ranging from routine maintenance and minor repairs to comprehensive automotive servicing.
We are in search of a candidate with a solid foundation in automotive maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess vehicles based on customer inquiries and/or concerns.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, fluid level checks, and oil changes.
- Repair or replace worn components and systems, including spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors.
- Evaluate systems and individual parts to ensure they are functioning correctly and to assess the extent of any damage.
- Utilize checklists to guarantee a comprehensive inspection of all components and systems.
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues using both computerized diagnostic tools and visual inspections.
- Determine suitable repair strategies based on research, peer discussions, and previous experiences.
- Execute repairs thoroughly and accurately, considering the original repair plan and customer requirements.
- Maintain customer satisfaction at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency required.
- Certification in a relevant field from a vocational institution is advantageous.
- Strong verbal communication skills are essential (the ability to convey auto repair information to customers and fellow technicians).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough.
- Physical strength and stamina, with the capability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Mechanically and analytically inclined.
