Job Summary

About the Role

The Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing daily lesson plans that meet the needs of our participants. They will also organize and participate in games and activities, ensuring a fun and inclusive experience for all children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with our program goals and objectives.
  • Activity Organization: Plan and lead games, crafts, and other activities that promote physical activity, socialization, and cognitive development.
  • Communication: Provide weekly lesson plans to parents, maintain open communication with staff and volunteers, and respond promptly to concerns or issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, arrival and departure times, and participant progress.
  • Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, maintaining supervision and responding to emergencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college in a youth development-related field, or current enrollment in a degree program.
  • Experience: Six months to one year of experience in youth development, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Certifications: Blood Borne Pathogen training, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and AED-Oxygen certifications required within the first 60 days of employment.
