About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Product Management to lead our Commercial PNT product development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, developing business cases for new product and service development, and ensuring successful product launches and long-term customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy Development: Develop short-term and long-term product strategies, define product roadmaps, and establish development goals and milestones.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with external stakeholders, including customers and partners, to drive commercial partnerships and joint product development and sales activities.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the hiring, training, and development of a high-performing product team.
  • Process Development: Institutionalize disciplined and effective processes for continuous innovation, including product requirements development, business case support, and product development execution.
  • Launch and Adoption: Design and execute timely and successful product launch campaigns and implement metrics to track and report on market adoption rates.
  • Risk Management: Implement processes to ensure institutional learning from mistakes, rapid identification of mis-steps, and adjustment and risk mitigation when product development or product launches do not go as planned.
  • Financial Management: Manage product budget to maximize effective use of resources in a start-up/emerging company environment.
  • Executive Reporting: Provide feedback to the company's executive leadership and board of directors on customers, market trends, product and service adoption, and competitive threats.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of professional product experience, with at least 5 years leading product development with responsibility for multiple product lines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within the global GNSS market and/or GPS chip technology solutions.
  • Global Markets: Experience with global markets, including commercial and government customers.
  • Transformational Leadership: Proven track record of transforming a vision into a fully rationalized product.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to build a strong product culture with a commitment to excellence and execution.
  • Communication Skills: Great communication skills, sense of humor, and willingness to do the hard work required to make an early-stage venture successful.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 10-20%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a similar field.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience with GPS and space technologies, preferably with experience at both a large company and a new venture.
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Exposure to defense and intelligence (D&I) ecosystem; knowledge of US D&I organizations, customers, programs, and needs/requirements.
