Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation and Safety
    • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
    • Understand cross-sectional anatomy and demonstrates anatomical positioning competency.
  • Exam Performance
    • Perform exams per department protocol.
    • Understand and operate CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure that quality images are produced.
  • Contrast Administration and Infection Control
    • Administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast material to patients as ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision.
    • Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Documentation and Quality Control
    • Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
    • Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur for quality, maintaining a current QC program for ACR and reporting any equipment failures or problems.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
    • Relevant State licensure (where required)
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • CT experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
    • CT registered by ARRT or registered within 12 months of hire.
Work Environment

This position is located at Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital and requires a full-time commitment with 10-hour shifts and 4 swing shifts per week.
