Are you a passionate nurse educator looking to make a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a skilled Staff Development Coordinator RN to join our team at Regency at Whitmore Lake.
About the Role:
The Staff Development Coordinator RN will be responsible for designing, planning, and providing educational programs on all shifts and for all departments. This includes participating in the staff evaluation process, providing general facility orientation to new employees, and ensuring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)/State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff
- Participate in the staff evaluation process to ensure high-quality care
- Provide general facility orientation to new employees
- Ensure CNA/STNA meet annual in-service requirements
- Actively participate in quality assurance and report concerns to supervisor
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in long-term care setting preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state
- CPR certification
