Position Overview
The Security Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining safety and security protocols within our facilities. This role requires a blend of administrative and technical skills, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access for personnel, materials, and vehicles to designated sites.
- Process security access for visitors efficiently.
- Monitor alarm systems and CCTV operations to ensure safety.
- Conduct security patrols, observing and reporting conditions at various locations.
- Provide first responder services as necessary.
- Report any equipment malfunctions that may impact security or safety.
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct through a visible security presence.
- Engage with employees, contractors, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Deliver security services at off-site company-operated locations as required.
- Compose clear and detailed reports on security incidents and activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Ability to pass state-required training and background checks for licensing as a level 3 security officer.
- Physical fitness evaluations, including a weighted sled pull and a controlled obstacle course.
- A mile run under six minutes to demonstrate emergency response capability.
- Military Veterans must provide a DD214 discharge document if applicable.
Education and Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service roles is required. A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
Work Environment
This position may require work at various locations, including Taylor, Bastrop, or Austin.
