Position Overview

The School of Education at Colorado State University is inviting applications for temporary instructor roles within the Educator Preparation program. These positions focus on teaching undergraduate pre-service courses across various educational disciplines.

Teaching Areas

Instructors may cover one or more of the following areas:

  • Early Childhood Education: PreK to Grade 3
  • Art and Foreign Languages: Kindergarten to Grade 12
  • Secondary Education: Grades 7-12 in subjects such as Agricultural Education, Business Education, English, Family and Consumer Studies, Marketing Education, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Speech, and Technology Education.
Employment Conditions

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach in various formats, including face-to-face, online, on-campus, and in local educational settings. Positions are contingent upon enrollment numbers and institutional needs, with reappointment dependent on performance and funding availability.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in education or a related field
  • P-12 teaching license and/or a minimum of three years of professional experience in P-12 education or administration

Preferred:

  • Doctorate in education or a related field
  • Experience in teaching both undergraduate and graduate students using various instructional technologies
  • Proven collaboration with public school educators and administrators
  • Experience in course design and development
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational practices
  • Evidence of or potential for scholarly contributions and publications suitable for a research-focused institution
