Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians and registered nurses to provide support in the operating room
- Assist with supplies, instrumentation, and equipment needed for surgical cases
- Pass instruments and assist the physician during surgical cases
- Be cross-trained to perioperative assistant within the OR
- Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist and current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service or employed to practice Surgical Technology in a healthcare facility prior to September 1, 2009
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST), or Technician in Surgery (NCCT), or Vocational School Graduate, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Certificate
- Minimum 1 year Certified Surgical Technician experience
