Key Responsibilities:
As an Assembly Technician at Enercon Industries, you will be integral in assembling mechanical and electrical systems to exact specifications and quality benchmarks. Your primary duties will involve the assembly of corona treaters, corona flex assemblies, and the production of fabricated components, which will occupy a significant portion of your time. Furthermore, you will be tasked with ensuring the proper warehousing and organization of parts, maintaining quality assurance, contributing to the timely delivery of high-quality products, fostering continuous improvement, and participating in 5S initiatives. You will report directly to the department supervisor and will be accountable for meeting production targets while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and engaging in ongoing process enhancements through discussions, feedback, cross-training, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings in both Metric and Customary (US) units to guarantee accurate parts before starting the assembly process.
- Assemble corona treaters, a low-volume and highly customizable product, including some electrical wiring of components, while adhering to the highest quality standards throughout a multi-day assembly process.
- Accurately track work hours and material usage by diligently recording time and material utilization in the ERP system.
- Systematically organize and stock parts in the warehouse according to designated locations.
- Conduct quality control inspections on components and final assemblies.
- Contribute to improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental operations, focusing on safety and quality through continuous improvement processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in mechanical assembly, military service, or construction.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints effectively.
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on productivity and efficiency.
- Proven capability to meet deadlines in a dynamic production setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Epicor ERP, is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with supervisors and team members.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds; experience with electric pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus but not required.
