Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced and nurturing preschool teachers to join our team at Georgetown Hill Early School in Prince George's County. As a lead teacher, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality educational experience for our preschool students, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development, and working collaboratively with our team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that meet the educational needs and interests of preschool children
- Supervise and care for preschool children to ensure their health, welfare, and safety
- Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroom
- Lead and manage a team of teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community members to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in preschool teaching
- Excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
- Strong knowledge of Maryland State Department of Education regulations
- Warm, friendly, and cool-tempered demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
- Team-oriented and willing to work collaboratively
