Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Lehigh Acres, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered therapy interventions with an emphasis on patient involvement as an integral part of the treatment team.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning:
    • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with patients, families, and treatment team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Therapy Interventions:
    • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to patients.
    • Use evidence-based practices and approaches to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
  • Documentation and Communication:
    • Document patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and treatment team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Supervision and Consultation:
    • Provide supervision and consultation to staff and student interns, as needed.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance clinical skills.
  • Patient-Centered Care:
    • Emphasize patient involvement and empowerment throughout the treatment process.
    • Ensure that patients receive respectful, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed care.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, or psychology).
  • Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or similar credentials.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
