We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and compassionate breast imaging services to our patients.

Your responsibilities will include performing mammography procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

1. Perform mammography imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
2. Obtain patient medical history, prior imaging of breasts along with reports and verify patient identification and consent prior to performing procedures.
3. Position patients correctly and operate mammography equipment to obtain high-quality images of breast tissue.
4. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and address any concerns or discomfort.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed, including required records to maintain FDA certification.
6. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret imaging results.
7. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and safety protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
8. Maintain and perform QA on mammography equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality control.

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certified by the State of Wyoming to practice and administer radiation.
• Proficiency in operating digital x-ray equipment.
• Experience in a hospital setting or healthcare.
• Current BLS certification.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
