AB Staffing is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students with a variety of disabilities, including behavior disorders and learning and cognitive delays. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide support to students with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to develop and implement lesson plans
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Attend IEP meetings and other professional development opportunities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • North Carolina Teaching Certification in the field of Special Education
  • Exceptional Children: Adapted Curriculum (K-6)
  • Proficiency in the subject area and experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
  • At least one year of teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, preferred
