Job Purpose

The Director, Income Tax will lead income tax reporting and assist with tax planning activities, including overall income tax compliance execution, review, and filing of US federal and state income tax returns and foreign information filings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Income tax compliance for US, international, and global filings, including foreign jurisdictions like Canada, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and others.
  • Engage business leaders on tax implications of strategies and transactions.
  • Mentor and develop the income tax team.
  • Support tax reporting to investors and equity partners.

Key Responsibilities

Provide income tax support to business contacts, including:

  • Income tax implications during project development, construction, and operations.
  • Monitor emerging income tax changes and trends.

Mentor and develop the income tax team, automate and streamline income tax compliance processes, manage income tax risks, audits, and notices from tax authorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business, CPA preferred, Advanced Degree in Taxation a plus.

12+ years of corporate or public accounting experience in US Corporate, Subchapter K, International, State, and local taxes, at least 4 years in Big 4/National tax firm learning environment.

Experience managing US, international, and global income tax compliance, preferably for privately owned partnerships, managing and developing individuals, strong interpersonal and communication skills, detail-oriented with quantitative and analytical skills.

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook), experience with Oracle ERP preferred, Corptax experience a plus, tax research software knowledge.

Compensation

The expected starting salary range for this role is $137,000 - $185,000 USD per year. This range includes base pay and a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
