Omaha, Nebraska, United States Boys Town Full time
Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist at Boys Town, you will play a vital role in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. Your expertise will be essential in conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to children and families.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will work to optimize functional mobility and physical activity for children and adolescents. This may involve working in a pediatric clinic or as part of an assigned research team.

As a Physical Therapist at Boys Town, you will have the opportunity to educate and bring awareness to children and families about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, including the role physical activity plays in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

You will create treatment plans that are developmentally, physically, and age-appropriate for patients, and will analyze information obtained from medical records, test results, and patient subjective reports to assist in formulating a treatment plan.

Additionally, you will provide physical therapy in accordance with the medical team and scope of practice to patients with musculoskeletal injuries or risk for injury due to impaired balance, mobility, ROM, posture, or strength.

Communicating patient treatment interventions, plan of care, and outcomes with the medical team and referring provider will be an essential part of your role.

As assigned, you may coordinate and oversee age-appropriate group exercise classes for patients and their families, and may partner with multi-disciplinary research teams that tie physical therapy practice to neuroscience research.

Participating in educational events, in-services, presentations, student observation experiences, and research opportunities within the clinic will also be a part of your responsibilities.

Pursuing ongoing education related to the field of pediatric physical therapy and exercise promotion in children and families will be essential in staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

Providing patient care and education according to the patient population served will be a key aspect of your role.

Requirements:
Graduation from a physical therapy education program is required. A current or eligible license in the State of Nebraska in physical therapy is also required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.

About Boys Town:
