About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Motion Recruitment. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining complex data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Build Data Processing Systems: Collaborate with our Product and Decision Science teams to develop robust data pipelines and streaming solutions using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Utilize your expertise in Python and Java to create and maintain efficient data pipelines that meet the needs of our business.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our Product and Decision Science teams to ensure seamless integration of data processing systems and meet business objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Six years of experience in Hadoop FS and Kafka, with a strong background in programming languages such as Python and Java.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Skills
  • Docker and Kubernetes: Three years of experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in building and deploying containers.
  • Jupyter and Notebooks: Seven years of experience working with Jupyter and Notebooks.
  • MapR and Scala: Experience with MapR and Scala, as well as AWS Kinesis.
