Patient Care Technician, Observation, FT, Days

Patient Care Technicians play a vital role in the healthcare team at the Public Health Trust of Dade Co. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support, working closely with registered nurses to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. They will be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure, and understand and follow instructions. Additionally, they will have knowledge and skill in the use of job-appropriate technology and software applications.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or successful completion of GED, and completion of an approved Nursing Assistant Certification program. You will also need to have a Certified Nursing Assistant License and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working Conditions
This role requires the ability to function in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-pressure or emergent situations. You will frequently interact with a diverse population, including team members, providers, patients, insurance companies, and other members of the public. You will be exposed to various environments, including communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a hospital and medical office environment. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when exposed to infectious/clinical hospital environments.
