Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Donation Specialist to join our team at Goodwill NNE. As a key member of our donation site team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing and management of donations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donation Processing: Inspect, accept, track, and sort donations to ensure they are properly categorized and stored.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to donors, responding to their needs and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate power equipment to organize and store donated goods.
  • Inventory Management: Categorize and sort merchandise into the correct categories, ensuring quality and value.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload materials into containers to prepare donations for processing.
  • Efficient Operations: Process donations throughout the day, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • Mathematical and Literacy Skills: Possess strong mathematical and literacy skills to accurately process donations and maintain records.
  • Flexible Schedule: Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude, creating a welcoming environment for donors and colleagues.
  • Criminal Background Check: Pass a thorough background check to ensure a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or Certification: Prior experience or certification in light manufacturing, processing, or warehouse work is highly valued.
  • Thrift or Used Goods Experience: Previous experience with thrift or used goods processing is a significant advantage.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a GED, HiSET, or equivalent qualification considered a valuable achievement.
