Starting compensation ranges from $30 to $35 per hour

(with an additional $2.00 premium for 3rd shift)

Sign-on Bonus of $5,000

Referral Bonus Program of $1,500.

80 PTO Hours granted after 90 days of employment.

Performance-based salary increase after 90 days.

Monthly Perfect Attendance Bonus of $100.

Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist area technicians with equipment breakdowns and other challenges.
  • Manage work orders, repairs, rebuilds, and other tasks assigned to technicians or maintenance support staff.
  • Address safety concerns or emergencies within the facility.
  • Handle timesheet, time-off, and attendance management using Kronos for direct reports.
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with production management regarding maintenance-related matters.
  • Support technicians in troubleshooting production equipment issues, ensuring timely repairs and escalating as necessary.
Repairs and troubleshooting tasks may include, but are not limited to:
    • Electrical systems
    • PLC and control systems
    • Mechanical systems
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Pneumatic systems
    • Plumbing and building maintenance
    • Engage with production operators and supervisors regarding machine issues and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Proficient in computer operations, including document editing and file management.
  • Familiarity with MP2 (maintenance management system) for inventory, work orders, and on-site requests.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members through written passdowns at the end of each shift.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential, as maintenance schedules will align with production demands, including weekends if required.
  • Adhere to all VT safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Restricted Space Troubleshooting protocols.
  • Achieve arc flash certification through VT's Learning Management System and TPC training programs.
  • Complete self-study coursework necessary to advance to the highest specialist level.
  • Participate in daily team meetings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Exhibit proficiency in electrical testing equipment and troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical and PLC issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance or preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime or adjust hours as needed for projects, work orders, or breakdowns.
  • Assist in other areas as required.
