About the Job
This Nutrition Specialist role requires a strong foundation in nutrition science, with expertise in developing and implementing evidence-based nutrition programs. You will work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and their families to provide personalized nutrition advice and support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition programs to address specific health conditions or goals
- Provide expert nutrition guidance and counseling to patients and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient interactions and progress
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to remain current with industry developments and best practices in nutrition and dietetics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
