Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our subsurface utility engineering (SUE) team as a Project Engineer.


Key Responsibilities:

- Execute subsurface utility engineering tasks by applying general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, and coordinate assignments effectively.


Essential Duties:
  • Gather field data and conduct records research.
  • Supervise utility designation activities.
  • Prepare documentation for test holes.
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance for all project deliverables.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Perform other related tasks as required.


Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of SUE plan preparation utilizing Inroads/MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with regulations at the Federal, State, and local levels.
  • Experience with SUE equipment and procedures, including vacuum excavation, is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience collaborating with local clients at county and state levels.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Possession of a PE or EIT certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Proficiency in discipline-specific design software and Microsoft Office.

Working Environment:

- The majority of work will be conducted in a general office setting, which is primarily sedentary. However, occasional fieldwork may be required, exposing the employee to varying weather conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be necessary.
