As a Broadband Installation Technician, your primary focus will be on the installation of our cable television and broadband services.
Your role will encompass a variety of tasks including installations, service modifications, additional outlet setups, service disconnections, payment collection, and addressing any special installation requests from customers.

Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct customer drop installations (both exterior and interior) from tap to antenna terminals on customer equipment in various dwelling types, including pre-wired units.
- Execute new connections, reconnections, requested and non-pay disconnections; add outlets; install and/or remove converters; perform service upgrades and downgrades.
- Utilize connectors, fasteners, and wiring while employing hand tools.
- Operate standard CATV hand and power tools in the execution of job responsibilities.
- Complete necessary paperwork as directed by management.
- Measure signal levels using a field strength meter; troubleshoot installation issues; install connectors on various drop cables; maintain appropriate clearances; install tap-off devices.
- Lift and transport loads up to 100 lbs. (including ladders); work in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces.
- Properly utilize, store, and maintain a VOM or DMM to check for circuit issues and measure AC and DC voltages.
- Inform customers about FCC regulations and company policies relevant to their service.
- Drive company vehicles while performing job duties; maintain vehicle upkeep.
- Generate additional revenue for the company through effective sales techniques and by providing information about product options, sales campaigns, and promotions.
- Perform other duties such as cleanup and salvage of materials; assist colleagues as directed.
Position Requirements:
- No prior experience necessary.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
Valid driver's license required:
satisfactory driving record is essential.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with consumer devices.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in elevated or confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at different heights.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent handling of heavy objects (approximately 100 lbs.) and tools.
