Gpac is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in the concrete construction industry. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in achieving business objectives for growth by preparing accurate take-offs, comprehensive bid preparation, and submittal.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Bid Preparation: Prepare accurate take-offs for assigned projects, gather and calculate data for bid proposal estimates, and solicit and coordinate sub-trade bids and supplier quotes.
- Project Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed project cost estimates and bids, review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, and man hour figures.
- Proposal Review and Analysis: Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work, and assist with maximizing profitability by monitoring cash flow, project margins, labor planning, and spending.
- Special Projects and Support: Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the field organization.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience, with 4+ years of experience in concrete estimating, cost control, and/or engineering in a similar construction environment.
- Technical Skills: Experienced command of construction cost estimating software and Takeoff Systems, thorough knowledge and understanding of general and subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications, construction means, methods, and materials.
