About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services. As a key member of our Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist team, you will play a critical role in helping our customers achieve their full potential by providing advanced technical knowledge and expertise in End User Computing (EUC) and solutions architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the voice of the customer and collaborate with field and central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to aligned GTM teams to unblock customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
  • Own the technical bar for specialist technical artifacts and standards.
  • Collaborate with GTM colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
  • Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.
  • Guide and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your customers.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of customer-facing experience with virtualized desktops (VDI) and applications, preferably in the enterprise space.
  • 4+ years of experience in provisioning, migrating, and managing end user computing and related services.
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, systems management, and storage solutions.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams, as well as internal and external executive stakeholders.
  • Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives.
  • Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
  • Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
