Unique Special Education Teacher Position in Lackawanna, NY

Soliant is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time, contract position in Lackawanna, NY.
About the RoleThis role provides a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative school environment where you can make a significant impact on students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Deliver specialized instruction in both inclusive and separate settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Regularly monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid New York State Special Education teaching certification.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
