As a Field Design Engineer, your primary focus will be on designing FTTH (Fiber to the Home) networks using Esri and Google Earth. You will be responsible for engineering and designing FTTH routes, developing budgets and BOMs, and ensuring data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design FTTH networks based on Fiber Indexing Terminal modeling under the supervision of the Director of OSP Engineering
  • Input and track associate parts required for design, generating a BOM with dollar amounts
  • Ensure accurate and consistent input and maintenance of designs and records
  • Produce reports on various OSP assets, including home passings

You will also be responsible for building records regarding 'passings' and other associated documentation, ensuring FTTH plant designs are effectively protected, and assisting the team in troubleshooting and tracking issues. Additionally, you will validate and report DLRs to the sales department monthly and update drops and feeds in CrescentLink to match the DLR table.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred
  • Minimum three to five years outside plant database experience, including knowledge and experience in FTTH engineering and design

The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of engineering office practice and FTTH designs, as well as Microsoft Office skills. They must be able to understand and carry out complex oral and written directions, work under pressure, and have strong organizational skills and analytical abilities.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with industry standards. The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience.
