About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Specialist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Sterile Processing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining and processing medical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established protocols for cleaning, inspecting, and sterilizing medical equipment and instruments.
  • Operate and maintain various medical equipment and instruments, including sterilization equipment and cart lifters.
  • Identify and replace broken or malfunctioning equipment and instruments.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current National CRCST or HSPA certification and/or a minimum of 2 years of hospital sterile processing experience.
  • HSPA CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) or HSPA CER (Certified Endoscope Reprocessor) certification preferred.
