About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Landlord Tenant Litigation Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our real estate litigation group, you will represent landlords and tenants in various legal matters, including evictions, lease disputes, and rent regulation issues.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in housing court and other relevant forums to advocate for their interests
  • Draft and review legal documents, such as leases, notices, and court filings
  • Provide counsel on landlord tenant laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in New York real estate law
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on complex cases
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
  • 4-5+ years of experience in landlord tenant law and real estate litigation
  • Strong knowledge of New York City and State housing laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of success in housing court proceedings
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
