We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Roger Dunn Golf Shops. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for promoting a positive customer experience, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ensuring a memorable and positive customer experience.
- Transaction Processing: Process information and merchandise through our computer and POS register system.
- Store Maintenance: Assist with floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance, and merchandise replenishment as needed.
- Process Improvement: Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system.
- Physical Demands: Freely access all areas of the store, including sales floor, stock area, and register area, by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and climbing a ladder; ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds at any given time.
- Availability: Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Education and Experience: Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply. Any experience in a retail or golf environment is a plus.
- Skills and Knowledge: General golf knowledge/background is a plus, but not required.
The hourly rate for this position is $17.50 per hour. Commission may be applicable based on store location and experience. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
