Catholic Music Director

Job Title: Catholic Musician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Catholic Musician to join our team at LADGOV CORPORATION. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading congregational singing, playing an instrument, and providing vocals as part of a worship team. The ideal candidate will have a strong musical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities: * Conduct rehearsals prior to services or performances * Perform as part of a worship team, leading congregational singing, playing an instrument, or providing vocals * Train and supervise other musicians in the church * Organize and maintain music libraries containing scores, recordings, and other materials used in church services * Lease and maintain equipment such as pianos and organs * Practice with choir prior to services, and provide rehearsals for musicians/choir Requirements: * Shall have a minimum of 1 year experience as a volunteer or paid position in a church setting working directly with church musicians, directors, and choirs * Shall have a bachelor's degree in Music or a combination of education (music education, performance, or theory) and experience in a professional setting equaling no less than three (3) years * Must be able to play the following instruments: organ and piano * Must be able to sight-read music and play a variety of music to include but not limited to traditional (preludes, meditative instrumentals, postludes, praise choruses, congregational hymns, and classical music selections) Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality music services to our community.
