Position Overview

INTEGRIS Health is in search of a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Job Responsibilities

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing a range of radiographic procedures with a high level of technical skill, exercising independent judgment and initiative in applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This role requires adherence to population-specific competencies and compliance with National Patient Safety Goals based on patient interaction levels.

Key Duties Include:
  • Operating radiographic machinery
  • Monitoring equipment functionality and reporting any malfunctions
  • Utilizing safety measures such as lead aprons and gonad shields to ensure radiation safety
  • Handling clerical tasks related to radiology requests
  • Maintaining organization in radiographic examination rooms
  • Providing necessary care and safety for patients during procedures
Accountability

The Radiology Technologist will report directly to the Radiology Technologist Lead and/or Radiology Manager/Director.

Physical Requirements

Physical demands may include:

  • Frequent dexterity and keyboarding
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Medium strength requirements, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Effective verbal communication
  • Visual and auditory capabilities
Environmental Considerations

Potential hazards include exposure to radiation, chemical fumes, and contact with patients who may have contagious diseases.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • An Associate Degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire
  • Current CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
