About the Role

Walgreens is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a patient-centric role. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacists: Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy, including tasks such as retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Training and Development: Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our designated training program and/or state required certification/registration. Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager and acquire continuing education credits.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment, prior work experience with Walgreens, good math skills, and good computer skills.
