Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at System One. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing daily electrical maintenance duties, assisting with repairs, and ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general electrical maintenance assistance and support to the maintenance team.
  • Assist with repairs to overhead DC cranes, various motors and starters, electrical distribution systems, medium and low voltage switchgear, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other electrical equipment.
  • Use various tools including multimeters, amp probes, and meggers.
  • Read wiring diagrams, retrieve parts, and participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the shop.
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by the Company, including plant safety regulations and work rules.
  • Must be a self-starter, have the ability and desire to work with others, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Meet attendance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D. and proof of completed trade school training required.
  • Experience in electrical and electronic systems repair in an industrial setting is preferred but not required. Ability to read, create, and revise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams a plus.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds on a frequent basis, withstand extreme temperatures, walk on uneven surfaces, and be able to work effectively at heights.
  • Driving is a function of this position but not a requirement in accordance with the motor vehicle safety program. Driver's license will be monitored for valid and active status.
  • Schedule may vary week to week based on workload and may include rotating shifts.
  • Applicants must pass a written electricians test.
