Job Title: Resident Caregiver

Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Sarasota is seeking a full-time Resident Caregiver to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Resident Caregiver will assist residents in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This role requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Manage resident behavior and provide emotional support
  • Participate in socialization and activity programs
  • Provide information and orientation to residents and families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly; Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations; Must successfully complete the required Springhouse's/Arden Courts' training
Physical Demands:

The Resident Caregiver must be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances.
