Position Overview

The Intelligence and National Security Alliance is seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst to provide support for our government clientele.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Generate and disseminate content from security platform vendors on a weekly basis and as required.
  2. Create and distribute internal content based on insights from senior organizations and the threat hunting team.
  3. Examine, correlate, and identify trends in unusual cyber events and incidents, utilizing SIEM systems and big data analytics.
  4. Conduct research using open-source intelligence to uncover commercial exploits or vulnerabilities necessitating action.
  5. Oversee current detection capabilities through endpoint security services, IDS/IPS, and SIEM to identify new or potential threats.
  6. Perform detailed analysis of network traffic from security devices, including host-based audit logs and malware analysis, while correlating classified and open-source threat reports.
  7. Document findings and processes to identify threats, including advanced persistent threats that may not be detected through conventional methods, and recommend repeatable processes for ongoing triage and situational awareness.
  8. Provide regular reports on network threats and trends to enhance situational awareness.
  9. Produce informational reports for stakeholders to address evolving cyber threats and improve defensive strategies.
  10. Disseminate reports weekly or as necessary based on the urgency of the events.
  11. Analyze specific information assurance vulnerability alerts and common vulnerabilities, providing detailed risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
  12. Deliver risk assessments along with suggested mitigations.
  13. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  2. Must possess at least one of the following certifications: CySA+, CBROPS, CFR, FITSP-O, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP, or GCFA.
  3. Must achieve designated Computing Environment (CE) certifications within six months of employment.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Understanding of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) in the Pacific region.
  2. Ability to gather and analyze intelligence reports from external sources to develop detection and mitigation products.
  3. Experience with Microsoft products including PowerBI, Windows Server, and MS Office.
  4. Intermediate proficiency with Linux.
  5. Experience in planning and executing Information Operations (IO) with various stakeholders.
  6. Must meet DoD 8140 Cyber Defense Analyst requirements.

CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  2. Must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance or a SECRET clearance with the potential for upgrade.
