Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at ChenMed, you'll assist in delivering exceptional patient care while adhering to state and federal regulations. Your expertise will ensure seamless operations within our pharmacy systems, enabling us to provide high-quality services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize pharmacy systems to obtain accurate patient and drug information, process prescriptions efficiently, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Communication Skills: Develop strong relationships with healthcare providers and patients through effective communication, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor pharmaceutical stock, anticipate needed medications and supplies, place orders, verify receipt, and remove outdated drugs to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with asset protection techniques, claim errors for order discrepancies, and damaged goods.
  • Patient Engagement: Engage patients by offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to create a positive experience.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis above the minimum required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Board of Pharmacy technician registration, maintaining current licensure and certification for the state.
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting, including pharmacy/medical data entry experience.
