Job Overview

We are seeking a Paraprofessional to provide essential support to teachers and students in a diverse educational setting. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and have experience in racial equity work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with classroom activities and support students.
  • Work with a caseload of 13-22 students, providing 1-2 para support as needed.
  • Contribute to racial equity initiatives and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
  • Bilingual: Proficiency in Somali, Oromo, Spanish, or Creole.
  • Racial Equity Experience: Background in racial equity work preferred.
  • Paraprofessional Experience: Relevant experience in educational settings.
  • Minnesota Paraprofessional Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Successfully pass the ParaPro Assessment or have an associate degree or higher.
    • Background check clearance.
    • CPR/First Aid certification may be required depending on the district.
Interview Process
  • Initial Screening: 10-15 minute call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter.
  • Virtual Interview: 20-30 minute interview with the school district.
  • Offer: Typically extended within 24-48 hours after the interview.
