Aquatics Positions at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our Aquatics team at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District. As a lifeguard, swim instructor, or head guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patrons.

Lifeguard Duties
  • Provide lifeguard services, including responding to emergencies and administering CPR/First Aid when necessary
  • Train as an aide in lessons and teach basic swim lessons
  • Assist at the front desk as needed
Swim Instructor Duties
  • Teach swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying swimming abilities
  • Plan swimming lessons that consider students' abilities and progressive development
Head Guard Duties
  • Assign duties to part-time staff and ensure lifeguards perform in accordance with established work safety regulations and guidelines
  • Provide lifeguard services, respond to emergencies, and administer CPR/First Aid when necessary
  • Assist at the front desk as needed
  • Monitor water chemistry and perform opening and closing procedures

We offer a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $17.90 to $20.95, depending on the position.
