We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Specialist to oversee the daily operation of our wastewater treatment facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater, maintaining a safe working environment, and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Maintain Treatment Process: Identify and resolve issues with the wastewater treatment process, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain hydraulic filter presses, jar test equipment, and other machinery to ensure efficient treatment of wastewater.
- Manage Chemicals and Inventory: Oversee the storage, handling, and usage of chemicals and other materials, ensuring accurate inventory management and compliance with safety protocols.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all wastewater treatment processes and operations meet or exceed regulatory requirements, including those set by the Massachusetts DEP.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other team members to achieve common goals, share knowledge, and provide support as needed.
Requirements
- Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent, with a Massachusetts Grade 2 Industrial Wastewater Operator Certification (Grade 3I preferred).
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills, with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and industrial controls.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
