Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Self Regional Healthcare. As a key member of our Perioperative Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth recovery process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), utilizing the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating principles of statistical analysis, scientific theory, and decision-making skills to promote better patient outcomes.
  • Function as a charge/lead nurse, coordinating and delegating care with other professionals and ancillary personnel to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Participate in the Clinical Ladder program and other professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
  • BSN degree.
  • One year of nursing experience, preferably in a perioperative or critical care setting.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer and PALS certification within 1 year of hire/transfer.
