  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items to guide guests and promote food and beverage sales.
  • Verify guests' identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol consumption.
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, stopping service when necessary; report any incidents of excessive consumption to management.
  • Complete all assigned side work efficiently.
  • Accurately manage all sales and payments from guests.
  • Notify management of any service or safety concerns, and implement service recovery measures as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Foster teamwork and quality service through daily communication and collaboration with other departments.
  • Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen staff for the timely ordering and delivery of food and beverages.
Qualifications for the Server Position:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment, preferably in a nightlife setting.
  • Familiarity with various liquor brands, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as preparation methods and garnishments is preferred.
  • Must meet the legal age requirements as mandated by state law.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Must possess a courteous, pleasant, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors.
  • Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state regulations.
  • Reading and writing skills are necessary for taking orders and completing documentation.
  • Basic math skills are required for handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.
Physical Requirements of the Server Role:
  • Ability to handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds (such as barware, carts, and bottles).
  • Must be capable of standing and moving throughout the establishment during shifts.
  • Effectively and safely handle food, objects, products, and utensils.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift as required.
