About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jobs for Humanity. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain plant process machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Install and repair plant process machinery, providing detailed written descriptions of work performed
  • Operate heavy equipment such as boomlifts, cranes, and forklifts
  • Provide scope of work, parts requirements, and equipment requirements for repairs during scheduled and unscheduled mill and kiln outages
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required
  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent required
  • Some college courses preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with heavy processing equipment
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Mineral Processing industry preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a cement plant or similar heavy industry setting
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to repair and rebuild plant equipment with little or no supervision
  • Ability to reason through difficult operations/maintenance problems and resolve them
