About the Position

Baltimore City Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for a part-time faculty position to teach in-person Sociology courses. The position is available on a semester-by-semester basis.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned Sociology courses, which may include day, night, or weekend classes.
  • Establish and promote an effective learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic success.
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
  • Develop and utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class, or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
  • Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise in Sociology.
  • Fulfill other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Sociology or a related field.
  • Two years of college teaching experience.
