Position Overview

The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering nursing support across various departments within the medical facility, ensuring that patient care needs are met effectively based on the fluctuating patient volume and acuity levels. The Float Pool RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care in diverse settings, including medical-surgical units, stepdown care, and intensive care units (ICU).

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program from an accredited institution, with the expectation to graduate within a specified timeframe.
  • Preference will be given to graduates holding a BSN or MSN.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience post-education, with demonstrated competencies in medical-surgical acute care and stepdown nursing, is required.
Certifications & Licensure:
  • Active nursing license in New Jersey.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
