Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee the development, implementation, review, management, and maintenance of our plant's SQF, ISO 9001, and IMS programs. This role will be responsible for validating and verifying our SQF and ISO programs, implementing new Quality Control programs upstream in the manufacturing process, and maintaining attribute standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and verify SQF and ISO programs
- Implement and manage new Quality Control programs
- Maintain attribute standards
- Manage document control
- Manage internal audit system
- Work with external auditors during audits
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with database management, good written and verbal communication skills, experience with training coworkers, and experience in high-speed plastics manufacturing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree
- Food packaging safety and/or quality experience in an industrial setting
- HACCP training with evidence of competency
- Strong understanding of SPC/SQC methods and charting
- Experience with auditing of processes and procedures
